Konstanz

I had the opportunity to see a little bit of Switzerland and one of the most southern parts of Germany this month. The first time in my life I saw the Bodensee (Lake Constance) and its town Konstanz, located directly at the swiss border. I had the chance to be interviewed for a job there and took out my tiny travel cam again and shot photos. Konstanz has one of the most beautiful old towns I ever saw in Europe.

Quedlinburg

I drove with my boyfriend to the small city of Quedlinburg. It is one of the most famous old towns in Germany with a center from the middle ages, surrounded by hills and still a lively city. I always dreamed about moving there, living in a small house in the old town, having a small photo store and shop in one of the houses. It is a dreamy city, inhabited by many artists, creatives and inspirational people.

South Korea - The Palace Gardens of Anapji

When I was in Gyeongju with my sister in Korea in December, we also visited the old palace complex of Anapji. It was a very cold but sunny lunch. As befits a Korean palace complex, there is an artificial lake and close proximity to nature. Hills, bamboo groves, rock springs - and, of course, beautiful pagodas where guests have been welcomed.

Leipzig - Old Town Hall & station

This imposing building is also located in Leipzig. The castle-like, renaissaisanceähnliche building is called the New Town Hall and is in fact from the year 1905, so historicist. Nevertheless, a beautiful building with lots of details. The towering tower is also a focal point in the city center. The other two pictures show the powerful facade of the Leipzig main station from 1915. It is really huge and big, but the halls and many tracks speak for themselves. I really recommend every tourist to look at the central station from the inside. There are beautiful old halls, a big shopping center on the lower floors and you really have a special old flair in the building.

Today we continue with the city tour: still in the city center. On the central big market square of the city with the striking old Renaissance town hall. Today it houses the City History Museum of the City of Leipzig. The marketplace is very large and is really considered the center of the city.

Leipzig - Buildings of the Old Town

Leipzig's city center is just beautiful. I am approached almost daily by tourists, where this or that is to be found. Especially beautiful is the architecture of the houses, merged with many modern houses next door. Hardly any other city has restored its buildings of the turn of the century and earlier as beautifully as Leipzig.

Leipzig - Augustusplatz

I have decided to introduce you to my city of Leipzig, where I am studying. I've noticed that I've lived here for three years now and have never photographed the sights. This is Leipzig so worth seeing. The Völkerschlachtdenkmal has already made it to the blog, but there are many other great buildings, museums, things with history are preserved, little insider tips that I want to show you yet.

Waldenburg Palace

Here are some impressions from Schloss Waldenburg. This is a beautiful romantic castle near Chemnitz, near Altenburg. A small town with a stately home on a mountain. The castle was once very magnificent, but time has left the first traces here - although the construction was re-equipped in the early 20th century.
