Last summer in August I had the chance to visit Rome and its attractions. Here are impressions of the Pantheon in the late afternoon. It is free to enter and the light is magical. Fascinating to be able to stand in a building “almost as old as time”.
Read MoreIn the middle of April I spent an afternoon in Limburg an der Lahn. The city is very small, it seems everyone knows everyone. A few historic streets have been preserved and I really liked this romantic old town. These are very small historic streets where in the evening the restaurants, taverns and bars are open, during the day many small shops and boutiques let the people rummage and the small places and houses that have been renovated and where you live instead of letting them expire , Scenic, the region around the city is just beautiful. You drive one hour from Wetzlar, my current place of work by train to Limburg. The route runs through meadows, fields, always along the river Lahn along the picturesque waterfront and you even pass some tunnels. The landscape with many valleys, valleys, hills fascinates me. The half-timbered houses in this region as well as the church buildings are often painted very colorful and there are other forms of decoration to recognize. Limburg is definitely worth an afternoon to explore ...
Read MoreOn the Easter weekend I was in Weilburg for a few hours. The town is situated on a mountain surrounded by a steep rock face and water in a valley. On top of the mountain sits a great Renaissance and Baroque complex. It is completely preserved and inside the premises are to be visited with complete furniture. Especially recommended is a guided tour of the many wings of the castle, there are real treasures and an orangery with deceptively painted wall tiles and very beautiful Renaissance murals. The facility is located in the middle of the city very nice. Also recommended is the visit to the Mining Museum and City Museum opposite. They have many old first editions and in the Mining Museum, a great deceptively real tunnel has been created underground, which leaves one astonished.
Read MoreAlmost every year, I and my family travel to Usedom. We are mostly in Heringsdorf, a beautiful spa right on the water. I love the resort architecture there, the white elegant houses and the sense of history as you walk through the promenades and lanes. You can make beautiful trips to the surrounding villages and there is always something to see. We always go in the winter, then you have the spa almost to yourself and mostly only North Germans are traveling. The sea in the cold season has its charm in the north with us. Whatever goes with it as a little insider tip: The hidden Café Knatter am Achterwasser. This year we were once at Karls strawberry farm. ,
Read MoreI drove with my boyfriend to the small city of Quedlinburg. It is one of the most famous old towns in Germany with a center from the middle ages, surrounded by hills and still a lively city. I always dreamed about moving there, living in a small house in the old town, having a small photo store and shop in one of the houses. It is a dreamy city, inhabited by many artists, creatives and inspirational people.

Read MoreIn order to escape the onset of hustle and bustle, which breaks out when you go on holiday with your own family, my friend suggested me - to bring back a little romance - a trip to Salzburg. Of course, my twin sister Anna was allowed to come along.
Read MoreToday was just beautiful. I did not go out with my family, but with my friend. We went to a salt spa, it was huge and very fun. There was an indoor and outdoor area and each pool had a different salinity. Also the food was really delicious. I had a homemade burger that was really great.
Read MoreWe were in a really unique place. We traveled in a gorge. This is a kind of gorge. In this case, a gorge with incredibly loud roaring waterfalls that plunge steeply into the depths and later become a small torrent. In this gorge you could climb on steep stairs and rock paths to the very top. It is really beautiful there. And pure nature.

Read MoreToday we were in our place only on foot. And when I say: on foot, then walk properly. We were hiking, climbed a 1,860 m mountain and are now completely finished. It was very nice, the weather was great, but the hike was very exhausting.
Read MoreDuring many years starting when I was a child I spent my summers in Denmark. We always use to rent vacation houses close to the sea with befriended families - close to the sea, small towns, being in nature and able to play in the dunes made my childhood a very happy one. Denmark is also the place where I started to first take photos. Here are some impressions of Nykobing, Langelland and other places. Denmark and its villages, countryside, people and towns are places I feel comfortable and familiar with. The sky is wide and high and the air is salty.
