Rome - Galleria Spada

Near the Tiber and Ponte Sisto in Rome, hidden in small streets and easily passed by, is the Galleria Spada located in a very grand and beautiful Palazzo. It holds an art collection especially dedicated to Old Masters and Italian art. There are several rooms to explore and the paintings are arranged in a traditional way. The cabinet feels historical and that is also the intention of this place, one feels like fallen out of time like in many sights in Rome. Outside in a small backyard you can also explore Borrominis secret garden. The Galleria Spada is a secret jewel in Rome for people who do not like mass tourism.

Rome - Santa Maria della Pace

Santa Maria della Pace is one of countless catholic churches in central Rome. It is unique regarding its elegant interior and white dome despite the round and more smaller architecture. It is a place you could frequently go to as a local as it transfers warmth and comfort in a very noble way. Santa Maria della Pace is located near Piazza Navona.

Denmark

During many years starting when I was a child I spent my summers in Denmark. We always use to rent vacation houses close to the sea with befriended families - close to the sea, small towns, being in nature and able to play in the dunes made my childhood a very happy one. Denmark is also the place where I started to first take photos. Here are some impressions of Nykobing, Langelland and other places. Denmark and its villages, countryside, people and towns are places I feel comfortable and familiar with. The sky is wide and high and the air is salty.

Easter around Leipzig

My Easter was nice. I spent my time with Mr. T., this year we did not drive up north to our families, but were traveling in and around Leipzig. Through work and my university, we preferred to stay at home. My parents came over for a moment, brought me orange tulips and also made me smile. At Easter I got sweet things, that makes me happy anyway. And on Easter Sunday, we drove through the countryside as we did on a Sunday, and looked at cities, culture, and castles. I love that. Well, wonderful days that make me shine. The next few weeks you will get to see two more shoots and pictures of Schloss Waldenburg and the Altes Museum in Berlin. What would you first welcome?

Portraits of myself

For a change, a few pictures of me. They were made the same day as Nastya's photographs. It was a bit different to stand in front of the camera and listen to and obey instructions. It was a lot of fun, especially in the pictures I like the resulting blur with which I deal with myself in almost all my last pictures. In addition, I finally have more recent pictures of me. I'm rather the girl for the background ... How do you like the pictures? I look forward to your opinions. All the best and have a restful day, your Maria.

Portraits of Nastja

That's Nastia. She herself is a passionate photographer and very art enthusiastic student, but this afternoon, photos of her were first made and persuaded. The pictures should turn red, we even found a red-flowering tree in the Clara Park in Leipzig, where the pictures were taken. She is really magical and very nice - the weather was great - we had fun. An all-round successful afternoon. I hope the pictures please. Have a look on her blog, she is very talented herself, I think.

Turkey - Salty water and a man

These are the last pictures from our Turkey vacation. You are talking about a walk on the beach. It was the first evening, we arrived and went for a walk on our own sandy beach. The sun was setting and of course I had my camera and photographed in this breathtaking light. My husband had to serve, but I think his pictures have become very good?

Tomorrow the lectures will start again - I do not want to get up so early and early. The last three days I also had exciting shootings with friends. The pictures will be coming soon - even this time I made a few beautiful photographs, which I will not withhold from you in the next few days. Until then, you still have to look and wait - I first have to find my way back into my new everyday life. All the best, your Maria.

Turkey - Hotel

A few impressions of our hotel. The complex was truly magical, a beautiful garden was around our room facilities. It extended to the sea, there were several restaurants, pool areas, playing fields, an amphitheater. But in February the garden was not overflowing, we had everything for us. Apart from the footballers, who regularly ran on the hotel's own jogging track, they met no soul during the day and in the evening. Incidentally, the two buildings belong to the neighboring hotel complex, which we were allowed to share. In the evening you could generally decide where to eat.

Turkey - Port and Weather

On the first of the month a new post, a new picture push. From me for you. Incidentally, the weather in Turkey was everything. From turbulent windy at the beginning, unbearably summery hot in a forty-degree bus in the middle of the week in February - and the last three days frosty cold storm. So bad storm that we thought all the rainwater is running into our hotel room and the planes would not start the next morning. So cold that you spent half the day in the indoor pool and booked massages. Balinese massage I can highly recommend, especially if you are sensitive to pain, they are bearable. Mr T. tried a fitness massage that nearly killed the pain - he booked another soothing one for the next day, after he returned to the hotel room with his face still in pain. By the way, these pictures from Antalya were created on the ultra hot day. It had really summery temperatures, no jacket with it, and gasped when you went down the many steps in the harbor of the old town.

Turkey - Water, Sea & Wind

Unfortunately, I fell ill at short notice. After Mr. T. dragged a persistent flu into the apartment, could do for a week completely nothing - and he is otherwise a very strong man - I am now the turn. Ouch. Ouch. Hust. Snort snort. Can hardly sleep because of shortness of breath, so I play at night or edit photos. Good for you, here are the next pictures of our holiday. A little more from the harbor, a skeptical Mr. T, water, waves, glittering stones.

Turkey - Antalya

For my readers a few pictures from the port of Antalya. The wonderful view of the harbor we enjoyed on a wonderful terrace of a restaurant. You climbed a few steps up the cliffs to enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the cool shade. The food in the restaurant was also terrific. You can also see in the pictures that the whole city is built on the steep coast. The sea is always a bit far, one of the few descents to the water is the harbor. In the next few days I will work on some pictures - including the city, the hotel and my husband on the beach. So dear readers, be prepared for a true Turkish flood of images;)

Turkey - First photos

I can not withhold the first pictures from Turkey. The holiday was in many ways not what Mr. T. and I had imagined - but some nice pictures were created during our stay anyway. Here are the first few photos from Antalaya, our day trip. We had great weather and an empty old town - which did not prevent a thousand traders from approaching us every two seconds during the off-season to sell us something.

The bus ride was very adventurous, over an hour each way back and forth - the bus driver just drove to where people were standing on the sidewalk and picked them up. We were then dumped somewhere again - about a kilometer from the old town, where we actually wanted to go.

The last snow

Today I have some pictures of the snow in the Rosental for you. Before the winter is over, and there are plenty of photographs showing ice and snow. Actually, they are already doing so, as birds are already starting to sing outside and the sun is shining so warm that I have hidden most of my winter clothes back in my closet.

I'm through with the tests. Were very hard, do not want to talk about it. The only thing I'm looking forward to Tuesday like great is my vacation. Actually, Taba was booked, but after the attack, I and Mr. T. are now allowed to travel to Turkey and could rebook without any problems. I spend the rest of the time meeting friends and strolling around the city. On Thursday was Leipzig as a trade fair city, thank you also at a trade show and have looked at all sorts of things. It was about garden, house building, crafts and in a hall even large sailboats, houseboats and yachts were set up, was awesome, you could really visit the boats.

As far as I'm concerned, from Tuesday you will hear nothing more from me for a week, I am very excited about flying and I have never been to Turkey - I just hope that I will come back deeply relaxed and ready for March Shootings to be armed.

Winter world in Rosental

When it snowed so beautifully, I was terrified of my exams. I learned a lot, and one afternoon my head was so full that I had to go out. Zora accompanied me into the snowy forest near the Gohliser Schlösschen and I made one of two portraits of her. It was a breathtaking cold day, my fingers quickly froze and crows crossed our paths arriving on the big meadow. The first and probably last winter pictures this month.

Simonetta -

When I was working at an antiquarian book shop in Leipzig, there was a beautiful small cat who got adopted by the owner of the shop. Her name was decided to be Simonetta. She usually would hide in boxes or between books in the most difficult places in the shelves to reach. A true cat woman with intelligence owed by her surrounding.

Usedom - The sound of the wind and waves

My family and myself would drive every year to Usedom. Usedom is an half island near the Baltic sea in northern Germany. When the tourists would leave after the summer, that is the time we come and visit. We are not afraid of the waves, the salty wind and the loud birds or the sometimes rough sounding people of the north. Usedom is a beautiful spot with beautiful white royal bath architecture and lot of historical buildings and houses.

Auensee Leipzig

Here are some pictures from Leipzig for you. Yes, from Leipzig. Because I'm lucky enough to have a park with a lake right behind my house. He calls himself Lunapark or Auensee. It is really nice there, if you want to relax after work - or just want to take a quick walk in the fresh air in the evening. When you have to relax. It is not the most beautiful park in Leipzig, but one that brings me closer to nature, when you sometimes feel surrounded by concrete in this city.
