Munich - Sendlinger Tor & Street

The Sendlinger Tor marks a part of the wall of Munichs old town. It was built in the middle ages and marks the southern exit of the town. You can find some marks of the old walls there and there are lots of beautiful buildings to explore,. If you go up the Sendlinger Straße you will soon reach the Rathaus at Marienplatz. Nowadays the Sendlinger Tor is a popular shopping mile and street and some companies have their offices and showrooms here also. There is always something going on but at the same time the locations have a laid-back and historical charme. I also included photos of a beautiful baroque facade, the Asam house, as it is the most outstanding one in the street.

Konstanz

I had the opportunity to see a little bit of Switzerland and one of the most southern parts of Germany this month. The first time in my life I saw the Bodensee (Lake Constance) and its town Konstanz, located directly at the swiss border. I had the chance to be interviewed for a job there and took out my tiny travel cam again and shot photos. Konstanz has one of the most beautiful old towns I ever saw in Europe.

Rome - Galleria Spada

Near the Tiber and Ponte Sisto in Rome, hidden in small streets and easily passed by, is the Galleria Spada located in a very grand and beautiful Palazzo. It holds an art collection especially dedicated to Old Masters and Italian art. There are several rooms to explore and the paintings are arranged in a traditional way. The cabinet feels historical and that is also the intention of this place, one feels like fallen out of time like in many sights in Rome. Outside in a small backyard you can also explore Borrominis secret garden. The Galleria Spada is a secret jewel in Rome for people who do not like mass tourism.

Limburg an der Lahn

In the middle of April I spent an afternoon in Limburg an der Lahn. The city is very small, it seems everyone knows everyone. A few historic streets have been preserved and I really liked this romantic old town. These are very small historic streets where in the evening the restaurants, taverns and bars are open, during the day many small shops and boutiques let the people rummage and the small places and houses that have been renovated and where you live instead of letting them expire , Scenic, the region around the city is just beautiful. You drive one hour from Wetzlar, my current place of work by train to Limburg. The route runs through meadows, fields, always along the river Lahn along the picturesque waterfront and you even pass some tunnels. The landscape with many valleys, valleys, hills fascinates me. The half-timbered houses in this region as well as the church buildings are often painted very colorful and there are other forms of decoration to recognize. Limburg is definitely worth an afternoon to explore ...

Weilburg

On the Easter weekend I was in Weilburg for a few hours. The town is situated on a mountain surrounded by a steep rock face and water in a valley. On top of the mountain sits a great Renaissance and Baroque complex. It is completely preserved and inside the premises are to be visited with complete furniture. Especially recommended is a guided tour of the many wings of the castle, there are real treasures and an orangery with deceptively painted wall tiles and very beautiful Renaissance murals. The facility is located in the middle of the city very nice. Also recommended is the visit to the Mining Museum and City Museum opposite. They have many old first editions and in the Mining Museum, a great deceptively real tunnel has been created underground, which leaves one astonished.

Mecklenburg

Whenever I visit my family, I feel that I am really back in business. To breathe again. To charge my reserves. I am so glad to see the green, the endless sky, the clouds with a thousand faces and the flat country with the most beautiful soft green. My little village in Mecklenburg is sleepy, nothing ever happens, and that's a good thing. It is a place of deceleration, relaxation and tranquility for me. For weeks I'm looking forward to the train journey to my homeland, every time I realize that I can no longer stand the big city, I book a train to the north. And then I go for a walk, watch animals, visit my relatives and become happy again.

Usedom - Heringsdorf

Almost every year, I and my family travel to Usedom. We are mostly in Heringsdorf, a beautiful spa right on the water. I love the resort architecture there, the white elegant houses and the sense of history as you walk through the promenades and lanes. You can make beautiful trips to the surrounding villages and there is always something to see. We always go in the winter, then you have the spa almost to yourself and mostly only North Germans are traveling. The sea in the cold season has its charm in the north with us. Whatever goes with it as a little insider tip: The hidden Café Knatter am Achterwasser. This year we were once at Karls strawberry farm. ,

Island of Djerba - Houmt Souk

When I visited Tunisia, I made a trip to the city of Houmt Souk to the Grand Bazaar. It is worth seeing and contemplative there. Of course there is a lot of market activity, but it was fascinating. I bought two gold rings and an embroidered silk scarf. Overall a very successful afternoon. I have found that I can act and discuss quite well, at least I got a salt rose from the Sahara given and my things much cheaper than my fellow travelers ...

Quedlinburg

I drove with my boyfriend to the small city of Quedlinburg. It is one of the most famous old towns in Germany with a center from the middle ages, surrounded by hills and still a lively city. I always dreamed about moving there, living in a small house in the old town, having a small photo store and shop in one of the houses. It is a dreamy city, inhabited by many artists, creatives and inspirational people.

Usedom on film III - Achterwasser

Me and my family made a short break on Usedom in March. It was pure enjoyment again on the sea, up north, feeling the sea and the wind. I'm just a sea kid and going crazy in cities without my green and my nature and without my water nearby. A few impressions from the small village Ückeritz, which is located directly on the Bodden Achterwasser. It was late afternoon and the sky was starting to turn white, the wind was stroking the reeds and I was glad to be there. In nature, outdoors.
